Thank you for visiting the Donation Page for Arkaig Community Forest SCIO (SCO45209)

We are a community development and native woodland restoration charity based in Clunes, Lochaber in the West Highlands of Scotland. We are committed to restoring and managing the native woodland habitats in our care, to raising the profile of these woodlands, and to re-connecting local people with the management and stewardship of these woodlands. We believe that the restoration and active management of native woodlands can help to underpin sustainable rural development – supporting local jobs and livelihoods, providing food and timber for local use and improving the resilience of our community.

We are currently raising funds to acquire and renovate the Clunes Forest School building as a base for the charity and as a base for the restoration and interpretation of the Loch Arkaig Pine Forest. We are also hoping to set up a deer larder and community venison scheme and a firewood/woodfuel social enterprise, and we hope to begin to run a series of guided walks, a calendar of volunteer events and a ranger programme in the near future.

We are asking for donations to be made through the online fundraising platform – Just Giving. This is a quick and secure way of donating money to Arkaig Community Forest SCIO (Scottish Charity Number SCO45209). Using this cost-effective fundraising platform allows for money raised to go directly towards achieving our aims
